Specialty Contractor: As an entrepreneur, in 2021 Sarah Ellis founded AEC Works, a multimillion-dollar design build window treatment subcontractor. In her service on the board of directors for ABC Georgia, Sarah will continue to leverage her 20+ years of experience in operations, finance, marketing, etc. She currently serves on the education committee, attends events monthly and is always willing to step up to serve the mission of ABC Georgia which is to connect disciplines of construction to benefit the industry, the economy and employment in Georgia. A wife and mother of two boys, Sarah budgets time like money creating the margin to serve in different organizations including a couple detailed below. In 2022 Sarah chaired the Infrastructure Board of TAG (Technology Association of Georgia), a 35,000-member organization. As Board Chair, Sarah led the effort to lobby and educate on technology infrastructure including the launch of TAG Infrastructure Talks podcast that continues to educate/ generate revenue. While great strides have been made in women’s leadership in the construction industry, parity in leadership positions remains elusive. By co-creating CRE Women of Faith, Sarah developed a forum of support and encouragement where female business leaders learn from each other to lead organizations with a high level of integrity, kindness and generosity which impacts thousands of employees in Atlanta. Bringing light to initiate and promote positive change has led Sarah through the process of the organizations that she has helped and she looks forward to bringing the same engagement/ development to ABC Georgia for years to come. When Sarah isn’t at the jobsite or office you can find her doing something active outside with her family, providing financial mentorship through her church or reading a good book.
