General Contractor: Ryan Shanteau is the Director of Preconstruction at Choate Construction's Atlanta office and has been with the firm for 11 years. His 20-year career is a testament to his unwavering dedication to setting up projects for success and growing impactful relationships in the industry and community. Ryan earned his degree in Building Construction from Georgia Tech and began his career in project management. He was first introduced to ABC in 2005, shortly after joining another construction firm. Leadership quickly recognized his talent and selected him to establish a dedicated preconstruction department, eventually leading the firm’s expansion into Miami. Since joining Choate, Ryan has honed his expertise in preconstruction, significantly contributing to Georgia’s growth through various projects and initiatives. Ryan is a graduate of the ABC Georgia Future Leaders Program (2009), and he is a former member of the ABC Georgia Political Action Committee (PAC) and the ABC Florida East Coast chapter. Additionally, he represents Choate's preconstruction team in the Citadel National Construction Group. As an Eagle Scout, Ryan’s commitment to his profession is matched by his dedication to his family and serving others in his community. He has raised over $50,000 for the CF Foundation, is a longtime supporter of Camp Sunshine, and participates in the Swim Across America. His passion for swimming began as a member of Georgia Tech’s Varsity Swim Team and continues today as he competes in US Masters Swimming events. Ryan resides in Roswell, with his wife of 17 years, Hayley, and their two daughters, ages 9 and 11.
