Joey Maxwell (Sterling Seacrest Pritchard)

Industry Professional: Joey Maxwell is a Partner at Sterling Seacrest Pritchard, a privately held risk management and surety firm headquartered in Atlanta. Joey joined the company in 2015 and became their youngest ever Partner in 2020. He currently helps lead their Construction Insurance and Surety Practice Groups. A native of Atlanta, Joey graduated from Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School before receiving his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Clemson University. Following Clemson, Joey joined Teach For America, teaching English Language Arts at a middle school in Dallas, Texas, for two years. He helped lead his students in achieving dramatic academic gains. Joey has held various leadership positions and remains active in the Associated Builders and Contractors, where he currently chairs the Legislative Task Group. Additionally, he is currently the President-Elect of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) of Georgia. As an industry expert, Joey has authored numerous insurance and risk management articles and has been an active guest lecturer on such topics. Joey and his wife live in Morningside and are actively involved in the community. When not working, Joey enjoys running, spending time with his two-year-old son, and volunteering with his therapy Golden Retriever, Moose, at the local children’s hospital.
