The Excellence in Construction (EIC) award recognizes the innovation, quality and vision of the project team—contractors, architects, engineers, owners and others—who have played a vital role in the project's completion. Projects are judged on a variety of criteria such as safety, personnel management, quality control, scheduling and degree of difficulty.

The EIC award ceremony takes place every other year. 2018 is an active year, so we will be pairing the EIC award ceremony with our annual Safety awards luncheon. We are excited to announce that the 2018 Excellence in Construction & Safety Awards Gala will be on June 21st at the fabulous Fox Theatre here in Atlanta!

But we can't celebrate until we've received your projects! Please share the following information with your marketing team so they can prepare to compete.

Intent to Compete
February 14th - April 13th
To help the ABC team prepare for the competition, your firm will need to fill out an intent to compete form for each project you will be entering. This will be sent via email on Wednesday, February 14th along with the 2018 entry booklet.

Entering a Project
March 5th - April 20th
The 2018 entry booklet will cover instructions and criteria for entering a project. This booklet will be sent on Wednesday, February 14th along with the intent to compete form. An entry fee of $295 must accompany each application and is due no later than Friday, April 20th.

Registering to Attend the Gala
April 10th - June 8th

Note: ABC National requires that projects win an award at the chapter level to qualify for entry into the national EIC program. However, since ABC of Georgia only holds its EIC competition in even-numbered years, you are only required to win a chapter level award in those years. In odd-numbered years, you may enter the national competition without first having won a chapter award.
