The Atlanta Hawks Select Brasfield & Gorrie to Build Their New Practice Facility

ATLANTA, GA—The Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club along with their partners at Emory Healthcare announced earlier today that Brasfield & Gorrie General Contractors was awarded the contract to serve as construction manager for their 90,000-square foot training and sports medicine center in Brookhaven. The center will be a world class training and sports medicine center. Atlanta-based construction and management firm H.J. Russell & Company, in association with Legends Project Development, are serving as the project management team for the project. Brasfield & Gorrie is one of the largest privately held construction firms in the nation. Brasfield & Gorrie has served as the primary construction manager for several landmark Atlanta facilities including the Georgia Aquarium and the College Football Hall of Fame. Primus Builders' United States Cold Storage project wins multiple accolades


Primus Builders was recently awarded two awards for the same project. The company's United States Cold Storage (USCS) Distribution Center project in Covington, TN won the National Award of Merit in the Industrial, Process and/or Research Facilities category from DBIA as well as named Best Project - Manufacturing by ENR Southeast.

Spancrete Earns PCI Certification at Georgia Plant, Adds to Business Development Team Spancrete, the world leader in engineered precast, prestressed concrete building solutions, has announced its Georgia plant has earned certification from the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI). The certification program “provides greater assurance to owners, architects, engineers, and contractors that precast concrete components will be manufactured and installed according to stringent industry standards.” PCI conducts two unannounced audits of member plants each year and requires each plant to create a Quality Systems Manual. The certification affirms that a plant is producing quality precast concrete products. The Georgia plant opened in early 2015, and produces Hollowcore Floor and Roof Systems, Spancrete Insulated and Non-Insulated Wall Panel Building Systems and solid plank and stair components. ...

The Winter Construction Company was recently named the 2nd Best Place to Work in the "large company" category by the Atlanta Business Chronicle. 

 Last year, Winter Construction placed in the Top 20 Best Places to Work and they were named "Healthiest Employer" in the medium-sized category.
