A great way for our members to
gain recognition is to participate in any or all of our award programs. All recipients of awards are printed in several publications, such as the Atlanta Business Chronicle. ABC offers the following awards to showcase our members:

ABC of Georgia members Hardin Construction Company, LLC and Teton Industrial Construction, Inc. were recognized at the 19th annual Excellence in Construction (EIC) and National Safety Excellence Awards on June 24, in Washington, D.C. The EIC awards honor innovative and high-quality merit shop construction projects and safety programs, and spotlight all construction team members, including the contractor, owner, architect and engineer. The winning projects, selected from entries submitted from across the nation, were judged on complexity, attractiveness, unique challenges overcome, completion time, workmanship, innovation, safety and cost. The event was held concurrent with ABC National's Legislative Conference.
Hardin Construction won an EIC Eagle Award for their 10 Terminus Place project in the Residential Multi-Family 
projects category, and was honored at the ceremony.
ABC member companies who received EIC commendation certificates included Hardin for their East Lake Golf Club addition (Renovations, $4-10 million category), The Saxon Group, Inc. for the Bowen JBR scrubber units 3&4 project (Industrial, $25-100 million category) and The Winter Construction Company for the NGCSU Recreation Center & Parking Deck (Industrial, $25-100 million category). The 2008 National Safety Excellence Award winners were also honored that evening, selected from ABC member firms achieving Platinum status in ABC's Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) program. Selection criteria for the national safety winners included each member's self-evaluation scores, lost workday case rates, total recordable rates, and interviews conducted by members of ABC National's Environment, Health and Safety Committee.
