At ABC of Georgia's annual Safety Awards Presentation and Luncheon on May 17th, 52 ABC member companies were recognized for achievement in safety. In 2009, the Georgia Chapter tied for 2nd in the nation for Platinum awards earned, with 26 (second only to Central Florida, which had 27). ABC of Georgia also received a record number of STEP applications – 52. ABC of Georgia Golf Tournament at Atlanta National
Despite cool and cloudy weather on Monday, May 10, over 100 ABC of Georgia members teed it up for 18 holes at Atlanta National Golf Club. Winners included: Closest to Hole #6, Jay Dubose; Hole #17, Jae Evans. Longest Drive Hole #5, Porter Payne; Hole #15, Earren Sayer. 1st Place Gross: Chris Mesi, Adam Neuman, Vladimir Sosnovsky, Clay Stephens; 2nd Place Gross: David Black, Polo Bascunan, Donny Jolley, Matt Prior. 1st Place Net: Jim Mabes, Steve Miller, Mark Qualman, Kevin Jordan; 2nd Place Net: Jay Stephens, Christian Long, Porter Payne. Over 155 ABC of Georgia members enjoyed a beautiful spring day at the SweetWater Brewery/PAC Fundraising event recently, packing the midtown establishment with folks ready to unwind. Members sampled craft beers, good music, a tasty spread provided by Low County Barbecue, and heard from State Senator Eric Johnson, who is running for Governor.
