This committee provides ABC and its members an opportunity to pool their resources to give something back to the community in which they work and live. A variety of projects are reviewed and considered each year under this committee. This committee is responsible for the governmental and legal issues vital to the industry. It communicates to Georgia’s delegation ABC’s position on important issues and seeks support for proposed legislation. The committee also identifies issues and government actions which impact the business objectives of ABC members.

These members work with the Legislative Committee specifically to raise funds for ABC’s Federal and State PAC funds. Another responsibility is in identifying potential candidates, especially at the state and local levels, who represent ABC’s views and philosophies, and endorse these candidates and provide PAC funds for their campaigns.

ABC is committed to quality education and professional development for its members. ABC’s Management Education Committee plans and develops educational programs to equip ABC member employees with the information and tools they need to run successful and profitable operations. These programs help ABC member employees build relationships across other industry segments by allowing and encouraging participants to network, share ideas and discuss issues of common interest.

This committee recruits new members to join ABC. Their efforts include promotion of membership and the development and organization of recruitment campaigns. Membership growth is vital to ABC’s well being and helps provide additional resources to expand the services and products provided to all members.
This advisory council provides insight and recommendations on timely industry issues for presentations/topics for ABC’s membership meetings and events. The Council also brainstorms new ideas and concepts for meetings and events to ensure ABC’s schedule is always improving to meet the needs of its members.

Safety professionals from ABC member companies come together several times throughout the year to discuss safety issues of importance in Georgia’s construction community. Forum leaders volunteer to judge ABC’s National and State safety awards, which are presented each year to companies demonstrating outstanding safety records and their commitment to operating safe job sites.
